The filters are very easy to use. Simply plug them into electrical outlets and power strips for immediate results. Our staff testing & results: When we used the EMI meter and tested outlets in our office and our homes, we were surprised at the reduction achieved with the filters!! At the office, most outlets were recording readings over 400 kilohertz which reduced to 40-60 kilohertz once we plugged in the filters. We even had an outlet in the warehouse (near the electrical panel) that initially registered at over 10,000 kilohertz - YIKES! In our homes the numbers were anywhere from 140-1700 kilohertz and all of them reduced to 40-90 kilohertz once the filters were installed.
